Hopkins Specialists to use ISI Tools to Share Expertise on Treating Thyroid Cancer
11/2008
ISI has been providing state of the art web services to Johns Hopkins, and several other preeminent endocrine organizations, for over ten years. The team at Hopkins asked Intertwine to collaborate on building online tools that will help fulfill its commitment to facilitate the care of patients with thyroid cancer by sharing resources with the medical community.
The web site will focus on four main areas of thyroid cancer management: Nodules, Surgery, Radioiodine Therapy and Long Term Therapy and Monitoring. Of special value is Hopkins’ extensive knowledge and experience in the use of recombinant thyrotropin for treatment and monitoring of thyroid cancer patients. With its new, standards-compliant web portal, Hopkins will document and share its protocols for rTSH use as well as other aspects of thyroid cancer patient management. Intertwine is developing interactive tools for the site, with the goal of assisting practitioners in the complex management of this disease.
